Contracted Tendons

A form of flexural limb deformities, contracted tendons can affect the coffin joint (club feet), the fetlock and the carpus. Causes include intrauterine malposition, nutritional imbalances, genetic predisposition, and pain. Rest, bandaging, splints, corrective shoes, and pain relief are common therapeutic goals.
